Counselling

Our counseling services are designed to provide support and guidance to members of the Somali community who are dealing with a wide range of issues, including mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse. Our trained counselors offer a safe and supportive environment where individuals and families can access the resources they need to overcome these challenges. We are committed to providing culturally sensitive counseling services that are tailored to our clients’ needs and that promote mental health and well-being.

Youth activities

We believe that providing opportunities for youth engagement is crucial to promoting social cohesion and community building. Our youth activities include sports, art, language courses and other initiatives designed to promote a sense of community and belonging among Somali youth in Norway. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment where young people can learn, grow and thrive.

Humanitary work

Our humanitarian work is focused on providing help and support to Somalis affected by conflicts, natural disasters and other emergencies. We work in partnership with other organizations to deliver humanitarian aid that is sustainable, effective and tailored to the needs of the communities we serve. Our humanitarian work includes emergency aid, long-term development projects and championing the rights of refugees and displaced persons. We are committed to providing help and support to the most vulnerable members of our society, and to contributing to a world where everyone has access to the resources and support they need to live fulfilling and prosperous lives.

Help in case of natural disasters

Natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods can have devastating effects on local communities, causing loss of life,
displacement and extensive damage to infrastructure and property. Our Somali association is committed to providing help
and support for those affected by such disasters.

In the wake of a natural disaster, our association works quickly to mobilize resources and respond to the needs of affected communities.
Our humanitarian aid efforts are focused on providing emergency aid such as food, shelter and medical treatment to those affected by the disaster.
We also work to meet the long-term needs of affected communities, such as rebuilding homes and infrastructure,
provide access to clean water and sanitation and support livelihoods.

Our approach to aid after natural disasters is based on principles of accountability, transparency and sustainability. We work in partnership with other organisations,
both within the Somali community and beyond, to ensure that our aid efforts are effective and adapted to the needs of those we serve. We also prioritize participation and
involvement of affected local communities in our aid work, to ensure that their voices and perspectives are heard.

In our Somali association, we are committed to responding to natural disasters with compassion and urgency. We believe that everyone has the right to access
the resources and support they need to recover from the consequences of a disaster, and we are dedicated to working towards a world where
local communities are resilient in the face of such challenges.
